One of my many blessings from my Westmont education is my friendships.
When we started college in 1992 as intimidated, silly freshmen, we lived
here in Page in beautiful Santa Barbara. Friendships formed quickly and
became family fast. For the last 15 years, we've gathered at weddings and other
reunions. They are such special people! We have set our reunion for
MLK weekend each year so it's planned out. We frequently visit someone's
city and stay in the vicinity. This year it was Ventura (home of Kim) which is a short
20 minute drive from Santa Barbara. So, Saturday (1/15) was spent visiting our
old stomping grounds and walking around
Santa Barbara. It was a picture-perfect day!
In front of Page - where it all began.

and Simone who got sick at the last minute and
couldn't make the trip from New York. :(
them even more!
Next year, we've pledged to run/walk the P.F. Chang's Half Marathon
here in Phoenix, so I'll be hosting. I've been sent a training schedule from
Tanya who is quite the experienced runner. My plan is to simply make
it across the finish line. You can check in on my training progress next fall.
YIKES!!!!

Great, now I'm craving Little Alex's Taco Salad and a coke! How I wish we could be back together again this weekend!
