November 4th cannot get here soon enough as far as I'm concerned. I'm not sure which genius thought of having an almost 2-year campaign cycle, but I'm about ready to throw a brick through my TV and rip the radio out of my car.
Gees, can people get off Sarah Palin's back? Strong women, where are you? Stand up for her. Have you heard how they speak of her? Bill Maher calls her a stewardess. Of course, that man is a small, hateful shell of a person, but still. Just this week, Joy Behar of "The View" (about as newsworthy as The Enquirer) criticized the fact that the RNC budgeted $150,000 for her wardrobe. Ummm, hello, are we back in high school? "OMG, did you see what she was wearing?" This is ridiculous. She was interviewed and commented that whatever clothes she has been given are not hers and will be donated to charities or used for other purposes. She further stated that her favorite shopping place was a consignment store in Anchorage, AK. How refreshing! Another money-saving mom out there.
And, another thing, what is up with Barack Obama raising over $100 million in September alone? WHAT??? How about that money going to help the underprivileged? Hmmmmm.
And, can the media just leave that poor plumber alone? No one's going to ask any candidate any more questions if a media onslaught and unauthorized investigation is going to ensue. For the love of Pete, people. I sympathize with Joe. My dear husband has worked his a** off for over 10 years building a company that's just now showing some profits. It would be ironic, not to mention highway robbery, if our profits finally pick up under an Obama administration that would be all too willing to force us to pay for health care for our employees and take away half of our profit earnings, potentially sinking what we spent so much time building. I don't recall the government coming to our aid when he didn't take a salary for a couple of years in order to build the place.
And that's okay, we don't mind working hard. It's a positive thing. If we're blessed with profits, we'll be generous - but we should be able to select deserving charities or institutions instead of having the $ stripped from our hands and mismanaged.
All right, I'm done. This was a far cry from my normal "day in the life" blogs, but I feel better - I got some things off my chest! sigh :-)

I hear you! I am about done with it all, too. Can I go off about the View? Obama is on there and they are all over him and purring about all the wonderful things he will do and has done. And with McCain, they ask him all these tough questions. I'm totally fine with tough questions, but seriously, let's try to come across as just a little unbiased. For the record, I can barely stand watching the view, but was intrigued after seeing a clip of Bill O'Reilly on their show. Did you see that? Hilarious.
Amen Sista! Hope things are well cuz, I check your blog often. Oh and can I just say props for getting facebook too! You and Kim are moving up in the cyber world:) haha, miss you and hope things are well in AZ! Say hi to the fam for me!
Thanks for hearing me out on that one! Yep, did see O'Reilly on The View - thought he was quite funny, but the ladies sure didn't :)
Yes, the most frustrating thing for me is the bias - it makes me want to scream!
I couldn't agree with you more! Is it over with yet? I have stopped watching news and listening to the radio - I don't need the negativism! I just hope that the conservatives really get out and vote.
