San Diego Pics

We just returned from a relaxing and cool week in San Diego with the Cornelius family.

Beach and waves nearly every day - San Diego Zoo, mani-pedis, lots of cousin time and grandparent cuddling.

Hope was thrilled with her polish - she, Gracie and Emma got their nails painted and flower designs (yes, I'm setting a bad precedent :)

Gracie and Em were pretty tight the whole trip.

Their friendship is so fun to watch. They get along beautifully.

They have their skirmishes, naturally, but then they're worked out

lickety split. I hope they continue to be as close as they are now.

I asked each of the girls what their favorite part of vacation was:

Gracie: "the waves" - she swam out every day as far as I would let her and frolicked, ducked under, body-surfed, etc. I'm thinking that surfing might be in her future.

Hope: "I like to play in the beach" - she was not as adventurous as Gracie, but enjoyed splashing and mixing sand and water together in buckets.

My favorite part of vacation is relaxing in the cool, beach weather and taking walks along the shoreline. It's so pretty and refreshing. We are glad to be home and back to our routine, although it's supposed to be 114 degrees today, and that's not so fun, but we love our ocean memories :)
