Happy Birthday Hope!!!!!

Can it be?

Four years have flown by since 4 - 5- 06

when Hope Alyssa Cornelius

came into the world.

I can't believe she started around this size.

From the beginning, she was alert and bright-eyed.

and full of drool :)

It did not take long for her impish personality to appear.

Or for her mother to start searching the house

when it got a little too quiet.

and now, she's four and quite assertive.

and hilarious!

I had a delightful awakening this morning when Hope

sauntered into our bedroom to announce her birthday had commenced.

She crawled up in bed with me and snuggled up,

and I had a flashback to four years ago around that same time.

She was only hours old and we were cuddled up

in the recovery room bed, snuggling and sleeping

after a long night of hard work.

What a true delight she has been these last four years.

I've cherished them and look forward

to seeing all that she will become.
