Field Trip on the Farm

Last week I had the opportunity to attend a field trip to the farm

with Gracie and her kindergarten class - actually all four kindergarten classes

at her school. It was really fun!

All the kids were able to pet and feed numerous animals. This is a pic of one of the darling jersey cows Gracie got to feed.
Cocoa the horse enjoyed carrots.

Gracie made friends with the rooster.

and had a good time on the hayride with her friend, Zoe.

This dairy farm had over 2000 cows!

Quite the operation.

We petted and fed some of their rescue animals.

They taught us about food and milk production

and care of the cows in their classroom.

Then they gave us a tour on a hayride and

we ate our picnic lunch and were treated to ice cream!

A lot of fun!
