Another Successful School Year Concludes

Another school year draws to a close. Now we have a 1st grader in our family - WOW!
And a "4's" preschooler (that's the name of Hope's new class).
There are a multitude of end of school activities.
I had no idea - I had to nap every afternoon to keep up :0)

Hope and I at our Mother's Day Tea
Last day of preschool with Mrs. Trout and Mrs. D
We love those ladies!

Gracie participated in a Patriotic Ceremony
with the all 4 Kindergarten classes. They sang
patriotic songs and recited poems they'd learned.
We even sang "God Bless America"
at the end.
(Don't worry - I alerted the ACLU about that - can't be singing
a song about God in school!! - the travesty :0)
Here they all are - about 100 of them
At this point I'd like to take a moment and honor
all Kindergarten teachers out there. WOW! I had no idea!
I thought teaching Jr. High required tremendous patience and innovation.
These kindergarten teachers beat me hands down!
They have a routine or system for everything.
The kids know exactly what to do and when to do it.
Gracie learned so much this year and loved every minute. She actually misses school already and we're only on our first week of summer!
Gracie came home with all sorts of school-year memories
recorded in journals, picturebooks. Her teacher made a little
Kindergarten memory book for each child - complete with tons of pictures
from the whole year. So, hats off to Kindergarten teachers.
You amaze me! Thanks for a super start to school!

Aaron's kindergarten teacher was amazing too. How do they do it with all of those little bodies running around and all those little mouths talking? I find it hard with just one :). Cute pics!
