Easter Sunday - He is Risen!

Easter finery :>) - How much longer will they like matching?













Our church had our Easter service at Scottsdale Civic Center with over 1000 in attendance. Since our sanctuary is under construction, we needed a place, and this worked out fabulously. It started with a somber procession - a coffin draped in white and purple with pallbearers walking it in. The choir started singing "Low in the grave he lay, Jesus my Savior, waiting the coming day, Jesus my Lord." Then the coffin opened and white pigeons flew triumphantly out as they started singing, "Up from the grave He arose." I still get goosebumps recounting it. A service full of rejoicing and worship was absolutely the perfect end to our Holy Week. Kids scampered around the lawn and danced to music. It was glorious. I hope yours was as well!
