Who is Carlos Alfaro you ask? Did you do a double-take and wonder if you were really at cornyclan's blogspot? Well, rest assured, you are at the right spot. Carlos Alfaro is my newfound friend who inspired this blog entry. I've gotten to know this talented young man through my sister, Alecia. He is, as you may have guessed, her boyfriend - or as Mom calls him, her "special friend." Now that I read that, "special friend" makes him sound like he's mentally handicapped. He's not - he's incredibly bright and hard-working. He's fluent in Spanish and English - plays like 92 instruments, sings, is an avid soccer player and fan, and is a budding young Republican. (Yep, Brent loves him :>))
So, Brent and I took Alecia and Carlos out to dinner last weekend, and I was lamenting and apologizing that I hadn't written in the blog forever. Then I was whining about what to write, and Carlos popped up with, "Hey, write about me." It's possible that now he regrets that decision, but too bad! :>)) So, enjoy getting to know Carlos. I sure have!
