Thanks to some very generous friends, we received three tickets to Saturday's Diamondbacks game. So, Brent and I decided that we would take Gracie on a special date. She's been asking to go to a game again in the "big park" ever since last season when we took all the Cornelius cousins. Hope spent some quality time with Grandma & Grandpa Brouwer and off we went. We watched six innings - I thought that was pretty good. Of course, we had hot dogs, a churro and a trip to the Sandlot (kids' play area). It was very fun and special to be with just one child and focus on her. We must do it again. :)
Daddy: "The Snakes are the guys in the black shirts."
Gracie: "Mom, can we get my churro now?"
Take me out to the ballgame,
Take me out to the crowd,
Buy me some peanuts and crackerjacks,
I don't care if I never come back, for
it's root, root, root for the Diamondbacks,
If they don't win, it's a shame.
For it's one, two, three strikes you're out at the old ballgame!
Gracie got a little tuckered out on the way home :)
