Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!
I had a delightful weekend.
Saturday, my two sisters and mother
got pedicures (see below). My mom rarely treats
herself to these, so it was fun to do. We then
went to a cute little lunch place called
The Farm and had a delightful lunch.
It's so special to spend time with all of them.

Ode to Mom:

Brent's in charge of writing a little note about his mother here.

As you can see from the picture, they're two peas in a pod :)

I wish this picture had turned out a little better, oh well.

Things I appreciate about my mother:

She's been a terrific role model.

She is a great friend.

She is a real Christian. She really lives what Jesus preaches.

She is a great teacher.

She loves her family; immediate and extended

She loves children and values them.

She is an excellent wife and supportive partner.

She's funny and sentimental and traditional.

I love her!

My girly girls,

Thanks for making me a mama. You make me want to be a better, stronger person. You make me seek how God would parent you every day. I want to do the best job. I know I'll fail often, but I hope you'll sense my heart is totally committed to raising you into two fine, Christ-seeking women. I remember both pregnancies, labors, births, first few weeks of life and can't believe you're already as old as you are. I love watching you invent games to play with each other. It's fun to mediate your little tiffs and I love it when you show love to each other. I look forward to lots more mother/daughter moments with each of you. You two are extraordinarily special.

I love you, Grace & Hope

Mom

I had a delightful Mother's Day celebration with my girls, their father, their husbands, and my granddaughters. Thank you, girls, and thank you, God, for the privilege of being a mother!
