You might think that going to the zoo in Phoenix during the summer would be unthinkable, and yes, it is quite hot. But we decided to brave it. Our zoo opens at 7 am in the summer and has various summer things to do. The big hit is the splash pad which cools everyone off and the carousel, which Gracie loves and Hope tolerates.
Luckily for us, Uncle Tom has been working as a train tour guide at the zoo. We happened to catch him on one of his tour days (there aren't many left, since he got a new job) Anyway, a friend of mine and her kids and Grace, Hope and I were treated to a very informative, creative, humorous train tour around the zoo. We had a great time!
